Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois and is a member of our staff at Meridian Behavioral Health. Sarah received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with a Counseling Specialization from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Sarah specializes in treating children and adolescents ranging in age from 3-17, and is a member of The Association for Play Therapy.  She also enjoys providing parent training and support.

Therapy Style:
Sarah believes that the therapeutic relationship is the forefront of therapy and the foundation for change.  She views each person as a unique individual and takes this into great consideration when determining her treatment approaches.  She puts great effort into working with her clients on a level where they feel comfortable. 
Sarah’s clinical work has been primarily focused on children and adolescents with a history of trauma/abuse, ADHD, behavioral issues/aggression, struggles with self-esteem/identity, emotional/mood difficulties, anxiety/fear, sexually reactive behaviors, and developmental delays.  She has engaged in the practices of talk, play, sand tray, cognitive behavioral, lifestyle assessment, and other forms of expressive therapies to assist my clients in altering their behaviors, communicating their needs effectively, managing their anxiety/ mood, or processing past traumas.
