We have a number of therapists specifically trained in managing the wide range of behavioral issues that can be seen in this age group. They have previous experience in residential and inpatient mental health facilities which has provided them the tools effective in working with many of the common behavioral issues as well as the more severe disorders. After your child meets with one of our child therapists they will determine the level at which therapy is needed. The child’s current problems, history of the present problem, level of development, and ability to cooperate with treatment are all factors assessed in determining treatment approaches. The relationship between the patient and therapist is extremely important, and our therapists’ make every effort to ease the child into therapy making them feel comfortable and understood. Our child therapy services believe in promoting the individuality in each child, thus tailoring treatment specific to their needs
Meridian Behavioral Health is located in McHenry, Illinois just off of Highway 31. We are adjacent to Centegra Hospital (formerly known as Northern Illinois Medical Center).
