We have several professional counselors specializing in child therapy, all with extensive backgrounds in inpatient and residential mental health facilities. Their experience in these settings has given them the ability to refine their tools used in therapy to target mild behavioral issues to the most severe forms. Some of the more common issues challenging children and teens today are ADHD, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, family problems, and various other behavioral problems. After your child meets with one of our child therapists they will determine the level at which therapy is needed. The child’s current problems, history of the present problem, level of development, and ability to cooperate with treatment are all factors assessed in determining treatment approaches. The relationship between the patient and therapist is extremely important, and our therapists’ make every effort to ease the child into therapy making them feel comfortable and understood.
