Meridian Behavioral Health is unique in its focus of delivering high quality child therapy services in a comfortable outpatient setting. We have several therapists specializing in promoting the growth and development in children, teens, and adolescents. Their extensive history and training with children and teens in inpatient and residential settings has afforded them the tools effective in working with varying forms of behavioral issues. Children often need help dealing with school stress (homework, test anxiety, bullying, and peer pressure), as well as difficulties in adjusting to new situations or family life. After your child meets with one of our child therapists they will determine the level at which therapy is needed. The child’s current problems, history of the present problem, level of development, and ability to cooperate with treatment are all factors assessed in determining treatment approaches. The relationship between the patient and therapist is extremely important, and our therapists’ make every effort to ease the child into therapy making them feel comfortable and understood.
